Last question of the year ?
Time for a little update about my Google analytics.
Overall I did quite good, although December will be low.
Since 1st of Jan 06, I received 336 000 unique visitors with 508 000 page views. Nothing to brag about (1,51 page per visit), but still I think it’s quite good. More than 150 000 visitors came from Stumble Upon, a great service for discovering new sites and a great source of quality traffic (and it doesn’t break my site ! ).
3 pages make 45% of all my traffic : who has the best sorry page ? (96 891 visitors), Oldies but goldies ? (77 700) and Windows error : a best of ? (58 500).
In April, I advocated social news (a must read), but now I think the key element is to have a regular and engaged readership (social sites are a double edged sword : they bring great exposure but traffic is addictive and it doesn’t last. So Beware of the hangover).
So I officially declare all my readers to be smart people please come back next year.
In the meantime I’m off for a few days of skiing in the beautiful Pyrénées in South of France.
