Best images of the day ?
I love to scroll through thousands of images bookmarked on FFFFOUND!.
FFFFOUND! is an japanese image bookmarking system that allows people to bookmark and share their favorite images. It’s a great source of inspiration and discoveries.
So a few months ago, I subscribe to their feed in Google Reader and it provides a convenient way to check all the lastest posts, just using the scroll button of the mouse (I love the scrolling button…).
I thought it’d be great if I could quickly share a selection of the images I like the most on a regular basis, like a weekly digest for example.
So here is a quick and (very) dirty way i ffffound to share the best of FFFFOUND! in a blog post.
1. Subscribe to FFFFOUND! in Google Reader
2. In Google reader, select the best images and click the “share it” option..
3. Go to your shared item page and select all (control A), copy it and paste it right into your post window.
4. Tweak it to remove duplicate links and … that’s it.
Below is my pick for this week :
6_lightness-of-being.jpg (JPEG Image, 450×635 pixels)
Computerlove™ - Connecting Creative Talents
lartigue-1.jpg (JPEG Image, 728×490 pixels)
iwakeupscreaming1941dvdr.jpg (JPEG Image, 640×480 pixels)
buchcover-moki.jpg (JPEG Image, 484×342 pixels)
firstmanintospace1959dvd2.jpg (JPEG Image, 640×480 pixels)
03.jpg (JPEG-Grafik, 638×425 Pixel)
more sinned against than sinning
The only drawbacks I can see is “hotlinking” : it’s something one shouln’t do, but here you are only hot-linking to FFFFOUND, and I haven’t seen anything against it in their Terms of Use.
The second drawback is that it’s actually very slow to publish.. So I recommend using less images.
