National Day of Awesomeness: isn’t it awesome?
Awesome is THE internet word these days.
So here comes The National Day of Awesomeness : March 10, 2008.
Why national and not international ? I don’t know. But it has to be something awesome.
What is awesome ? A little Google query (define: awesome) gives us this Princeton definition :
amazing: inspiring awe or admiration or wonder; “New York is an amazing city”; “the Grand Canyon is an awe-inspiring sight”; “the awesome complexity of the universe”; “this sea, whose gently awful stirrings seem to speak of some hidden soul beneath”- Melville; “Westminster Hall’s awing majesty, so vast, so high, so silent”

Today, Melville would have said : “Westminster, Dude, that is freaking awesome.”
So how can we contribute ?
The easiest way to celebrate The National Day of Awesomeness is to be awesome. You could organize a group of your friends to perform feats of awesomness with. You could write a blog entry about someone you think epitomizes the ideals of awesomeness

I enjoyed reading how the idea came about and developed. Also, the photos of your son with his grand dad are happy and adorable! Your son’s smile is so cute with that one tooth on the bottom looking up!
