Have seen them all, and started with a motorola 6800 processor and development kit, that was all machine code. It amuses me when the youngsters sometimes try to tell me I am doing something wrong on a computer, they just dont know the real history, they were born into modern computers.

My first computer was a Commodore 64. I recently bought a near-new one from a flea market. What a useless machine. Although, can’t get away from the history behind it… it’s where I learned DOS.

Excellent! Wow. IBM 370 (I think?). Drum storage. No monitors yet, just terminal print outs, punch cards and batch jobs. I miss playing Star Trek on that machine.
My first micro was the Timex-Sinclair 1000. Don’t laugh - I had the 16KB memory expansion pak!
Good stuff.
