Are you a-diggted?
New year is time for good resolutions. Mine is to spend less unproductive time on Digg.
If like me, you share these symptoms, it means that you also have become totally “a-diggted”:
1/ in your Ajax Startpage (mine in Netvibes), you have one complete tab to grab all Digg Rss feeds.

2/ You think it’s lame when a story you’ve already read somewhere else reaches the front page.
3/ When you check comments on Digg, you expand what’s been dugg down one by one to see what was wrong.
4/ you start acting hysterical when you have 5 seconds left to edit your comment and you see a typo.
5/ You like to keep informed of news that are relevant for you but you can’t help clicking on the lamest stories that come up like Jesus spotted on dogs ass (pic).
6/ You are developing a love-hate relationship with Digg and just plain compassion for your girlfriend.
7/ You think Digg is too slow.
8/ You subscribed to the tag “Digg” in Del.icio.us but what you only got is spam.
9/ You dream of Digg in 3D (a bit like this).

10/ You hope someone will post your best stuff on Digg, until you finally do it yourself. You get 6 Diggs and then you think it’s lame.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one. #5 is especially a problem for me. I’d like to see a ‘hard news only’ site.

Thanks Phil. It comforts me. Rather than news, Digg has become a sort of “webtertainment” phenomenon, I believe.
