Do you speak Web 2.0?

I love the internet even more these days. Thanks to Web 2.0, people can express their emotions, feelings, react, interact, and in a very spontaneous way.

So I noticed some words or expressions that come over and over in comments, on Blogs, on Digg, on Youtube.

Here are my favorites.

“Awesome!”

Like in “Dude, that was awesome”, or ” HOLY CRAP THAT’S AWESOME” meaning “great”, “very good”, “very entertaining”.

“Wawrarwarawa” or “mwahahaha” or just “hahahahahahahha” !

As in “hahahahahahahha oh man that shit’s hilarious!”.
Meaning “that was fun”. Tends to replace shorter but out fashioned expressions like “lol”, “LMAO” (”laughing my A** Off”, or “ROTF” (Rolling On the Floor Laughing).

“Wow.”

As is “Just Wow”. See “awesome”.

“RTFA”!

“Read the F****** Article!”.
As in “the guy never said that, RTFA”, meaning “read the article again, for god’s sake”

“Dork”

As in “You Dork”, or meaning “you fool”. Check Wikipedia for a more elaborate definition : “classically referred to those of sub-average intellect, an exception being when “dork” is used as a synonym for “nerd” and/or “geek.” In that situation, high-intelligence but low social functioning is often indicated.

“Retard”

Short for “retarded”. Antonym: precocious.
A bit like “Dork”. Example : “Lame ass what a retard”.

“duh”.

Definition : “Used to express disdain for someone missing the obviousness of something “. Example “US full of Internet addicts: study. Duh”.

“WTF?”

What the F***? - (not to mistake with “WTF : World Taekwondo Federation”).
Usually used to mean surprise, as in ” LOL, WTF? LOL, DUDE WTF?”
