What went wrong with my first blog ?
I blogged from 13.05.2002 to 16.11.2003 :”siliconcarnet : the alien diary”
I had installed the great late B2 script from Michel V and started posting.
I had immediate inspiration. My first post was : “This once was a brain. A human brain. It is now a lettuce. Things change. ” I illustrated this with an image I made with photoshop :
For me it was fun. A sort of internet “Automatic Writing” made possible by B2.
The concept was simple : people would upload texts, images, sounds, whatever they had created.
“Create, upload, share” was the baseline.
I was already considering asking users for contributions, as you can see.
Very few people interacted except one or two of my friends.
Then B2 stopped and I left my own blog as is, like a remain of the past. Yet another unupdated blog. I don’t know why it didn’t work for me. Or maybe I screwed up somewhere. Probably I forgot my admin access or messed up in the database. I couldn’t use it anymore, I remember.
Another reason is that I discovered Deviant Art and lost interest in my idea. They already had one million posts. Now they have 23 297 715 deviations… and counting like Google says. I will tell later how I lost my interest in Social Networks when I discovered Myspace. They had 600 000 users by the time I registered, and I thought it was enormous. I still have zero friends on myspace BTW, I even deleted Adam.
