How did j0hnny do this ?
283692 Blog Verification didn’t show up today. I will probably never know the answer to my second question.
I just came across a fantastic phenomenon while checking del.icio.us.
The “hot right now” on the home page was johnny.ihackstuff.com :: I’m j0hnny. I hack stuff.? saved by 1743 people, whith tags like “security”, Hack”, “google”. I was attracted. I decided to check it. I am not into hacking usually. People who claim to be hackers are often seventeen years old that scan IP to find unprotected servers where they can store their Divx. Real hackers don’t show off. I clicked and here comes the surprise :
Hi.
j0hnny
Waohh. How can a site become suddenly so popular as to crash like that ? Is del.icio.us such a massive traffic generator ?
Let’s check out Digg.? We have: Is It Illegal To Describe The Sporting Event You’re Watching? and How to Photograph Fireworks? with 400 Diggs. No sign of j0hnny.
Oddly enough I tend to not always share the same interests as Digg readers.
I just found nonetheless a topic for a next question, “30% of the entire US Internet population use MySpace? Can 51 million people be a fad?”.
I joined my space when there was 600 000 users and I thought it was enormous. I’ll have to tell how I found Myspace later. I have zero friends on Myspace by the way.
So back to Johnny. No sign of life on Digg.
Let’s check out Google cache..
Here we go :
One post every month, really about Hacking.
I wonder what Info he posted today to get so much traffic..
I wish I had 365questions crashing under Traffic too… Or I could have j0hnny hack me down with one fabulous DOS attack ?? But who wants such traffic. And I don’t have a domain name yet.
Anyway, I hope I can answer tomorrow to today’s questions :
